Print this Article (PDF) Email Article to a Friend Over the past couple of years my students have been increasingly interested in styles besides classic 1950's Postwar Chicago Blues. Many have shown interest in Prewar and Country Blues players. Joe Filisko has played a large role in this. His performances of Prewar and Country Blues and the classes I have asked him to teach with me at Harmonica Masterclass Workshops have deeply influenced me and my students. This month I felt it would be of great help to give you some tongue blocking exercises that really work you out on all of the octaves of the harmonica, including tongue switching. These should keep you busy for a while!
